About District

National Capital Territory(NCT) of Delhi has 13 Districts :- North, North-East, West, North-West, East, South, South-West, South-East, New Delhi, Central, Central North, Outer North and Old Delhi.

North-West Delhi District is one of the 13 Districts of NCT of Delhi. GNCT of Delhi has been reorganized and divided into 13 Districts on 25 December, 2025. Prior to this, Delhi was divided into 11 Districts in September, 2012. Earlier Delhi had only 9 Districts which came into existence in January, 1997. Prior to that there used to be only one District for whole of Delhi with District Head Quarter at Tis-Hazari.

North-West District has its District Head Quarter at D.C. Office Complex, Kanjhawala, Delhi-110081.

The District administration carries out diverse variety of functions including magisterial matters, revenue courts, issue of various statutory documents, registration of property, conduct of elections, relief and rehabilitation, land acquisition and various other areas.
